We are looking for talented cooks for our scratch kitchen. If you are looking for a creative concept and a more intimate kitchen environment the Lucky Tankard might be the right fit for you!
Our cooks will execute recipes for guests to be able to enjoy while they play games (board games, ttrpg, etc), drink local beverages and participate in fun, nerdy events. The kitchen team will be responsible for food preparation, preparing the curated menu at a high level consistently and maintaining kitchen safety standards and practices.
Responsibilities
-Menu and recipe execution, with attention to quality and consistency
-Prep ingredients for service
-Comply with food regulations, sanitation regulations, and safety standards
-Maintain an effective kitchen environment whether it is a solo shift, busy night shift or special event.
What You’ll Need
-1+ years of experience in a kitchen environment, including the ability to both open and close down a kitchen
-Credentials in health and safety training (if not up to date, must be obtained within a month of employment. Lucky Tankard will pay certification/renewal fees.)
-Ability to work well independently and with others
-Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
-Creativity and attention to detail

Bartender

We are looking for experienced Bartenders to join our front of house team. If you are looking for a unique concept, creative freedom and cozy vibes, The Lucky Tankard might be the right fit for you.
Our Bartenders will be responsible for curating an excellent customer experience and crafting beverages for guests to enjoy while they play games (board games, ttrpg, etc), and participate in fun, nerdy events. The ideal team member will be at home behind the bar and able to seamlessly transition to attentive, friendly table service.
Responsibilities
-Oversee the guest experience - greet and engage guests, make tailored food, beverage( and occasional game) recommendations.
-Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and prep ingredients accurately and efficiently according to established recipes and standards.
-Take accurate food and drink orders, deliver items promptly to tables, and check back regularly to I transactions, and complete assigned opening/closing side work.
-Must be able to both open and close the venue.
Qualifications & Requirements
-Minimum of 1 year of combined bartending experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Serving experience a plus.
-Valid local responsible alcohol service certification or ability to obtain certification upon employment (e.g., TIPS or ServSafe.) Lucky Tankard will cover certification expenses.
-Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems and accurate cash-handling capabilities.
-Ability to stand and walk for 4-8 hour shifts, and lift/move up to [25–30] pounds as needed.
-Exceptional at multitasking under pressure, strong communication skills and the ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
